The series, presented by the Basalt Chamber of Commerce, is designed to appeal to a range of ages and interests. The events are organized in part by Haley Thompson, board member and president of Comet Productions LLC. “Movies have the great power to bring people together,” said Thompson, who grew up in Basalt and is now a film editor. “We hope lots of people will come out to enjoy movies under the stars and be part of the future planning.”
The Chamber invested nearly $5,000 in equipment and planning for the movie series and has attracted a strong network of early sponsors and supporters. We’d like to thank our 2017 sponsors:
- Town of Basalt
- Alpine Bank
- Midland Shoe
- Touchstone Business Advisers
Additional sponsors are needed each year to support the ongoing production and fund future movies. Top level sponsors are recognized in the pre-movie features and video advertising opportunities are available.
